Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library at the Sutherlin C. Giles Hunt Library.

The Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children every month from birth to age five in participating communities. Through this program, every child under the age of five in in our community is qualified to receive a book by mail, at no cost to their families, every month until their fifth birthday. The first book a child receives is “The Little Engine That Could”. The month a child turns five years old they will receive “Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come!”.

How to register:
All Sutherlin, Oakland and Umpqua library card holders are eligible to enroll.

Or sign up in person at the Sutherlin Library.

We have $1200 donated by private donors and are pursuing grant funds through various charitable organizations who support public libraries.
